Wear edge milling machine: portable machine for removal of wear edges in cylinder liners
Wear edge milling machine, VKS, is a pneumatically driven, portable machine designed to remove wear edges in cylinder liners. It is not only easily adjustable for different wear edge positions, but it is also highly accurate thanks to its wheel-mounted design. Therefore, this minimizes the risk of accidental damage of liners, a frequent occurrence with manual grinding methods. In addition, the removal of wear edges minimizes piston pulling time and saves piston rings and liners, increasing engine efficiency. Finally, with VKS the complete removal of a wear edge takes no more than 25 minutes and in most cases even less, depending on diameter.

Easy to use
The milling head is easily adjusted to the exact position of the wear edge. It therefore easy to operate.
Accurate
The design is wheel-mounted, with both vertical and horizontal guiding at liner top end. It therefore prevents accidental damage of liners, often occurring with manual grinding methods.

Upgrade kit

VKS-P is the latest addition to our air-driven range of wear edge milling machines. It has been specially designed for use in restricted areas where hot work is not allowed. It is equipped with a slowly rotating air motor and a specially designed milling cutter. Moreover, the machine is delivered with a type examination certificate from Det Norske Veritas.
