Portable machine for removal of wear edges in cylinder liners

The VKS Wear edge milling machine is a pneumatically driven, portable machine designed to remove wear edges in cylinder liners. It is easily adjustable for different wear edge positions and due to its wheel-mounted design highly accurate, minimising the risk of accidental damage of liners, a frequent occurrence with manual grinding methods. The removal of wear edges minimizes piston pulling time and saves piston rings and liners, increasing engine efficiency. With the VKS the complete removal of a wear edge takes no more than 25 minutes and in most cases less, depending on diameter.

VKS-P is the latest addition to our air-driven range of wear edge milling machines. It has been specially designed for use in restricted areas where hot work is not allowed. It is equipped with a slowly rotating air motor and a specially designed milling cutter. The machine is delivered with a type examination certificate from Det Norske Veritas.
