Update: ShaPoLi certificate!

Last week, we received a ShaPoLi Certificate, i.e. a Certificate of Approval in Principle for our Chris-Marine® ShaPoLi system, from RINA Classification Society. In addition, our ShaPoLi Onboard Management Manual (OMM) of our EEXI installation on the vessel “Morning Calm” owned by Wallenius, has been approved by the Korean Register KR.

We are pleased that certificates for our Shaftpower Limitation Solution, Chris-Marine® ShaPoLi are dropping in. Above all, we are thrilled about the recognition of our engineering and the great collaboration we have had with RINA and the Korean Register.

The Chris-Marine ShaPoLi system is compliant with the IACS (EEXI Implementation Guideline) and MEPC.335(76), independent from the engine automation.

About our ShaPoLi system

To help customers comply with EEXI requirements, Chris-Marine has developed Chris-Marine ShaPoLi, a Shaft Power Limitation solution that will enable existing ships to meet the minimal energy efficiency level to comply with the upcoming regulations.

Operating a system beyond the optimal shaft power limit can lead to inefficient fuel consumption, excessive wear and tear on components, thus resulting in increased operational costs. Limiting shaft power ensures that the system operates at peak efficiency and extends the lifespan of the equipment.
Shaft power limitation prevents overexploitation of engine resources.
