Working rigs for safe operation

Chris-Marine’s working rig series is designed for all sizes and shapes of exhaust valve cages and cylinder covers. Their handling capacity ranges from 400 kg to 2600 kg. Our working rigs are safe to use and facilitate a multitude of maintenance operations, particularly the dismantling and cleaning of exhaust valve cages and cylinder heads as well as when operating a valve seat grinding machine.

We offer a wide range of rigs and special adapters suit all 2-stroke valve cages as well as 4-stroke cylinder heads and fuel pumps.

Working rig WR 20: for large jobs

WR 20 is a working rig for safe maintenance of 2-stroke engine parts. It is suitable onboard and in workshops, and easy to adapt for mounting of exhaust valve, fuel pump and injector valve.

    Machine for in-situ machining of valve seats and seat recesses on 4-stroke medium speed diesel engines.

  • The coil heats the valve seat fast, typically in 15 seconds. As the seat heats up, it softens and tries to expand. The cold cylinder head prevents this, so the seat deforms. After cooling, the diameter has been reduced by 0.3-0.5mm, allowing removal without force.

    Designed for easy removal of worn valve seats from cylinder heads. The equipment consists of an induction generator which generates a high frequency current to an insulated water-cooled induction coil.
