HON 2A: a heavy duty machine restoring slow-speed engine cylinder liner geometry and surface structure.
Cylinder liner honing machine HON 2A is a fully automatic honing machine for on-site honing of large 2-stroke cylinder liners. The machine rectifies the shape of the liner, removes scuffing and restores surface cross pattern. HON 2A is easily operated directly on the engine. Moreover, thanks to its optional holding equipment, the honing machine be used directly on liners, and also outside the engine.

Easy-to-use handheld controller
HON 2A has an easy-to-use handheld controller for all functions and settings. Therefore, the honing process is greatly facilitated. Moreover, the synchronized electric hoist and drive unit, combined with automatic stone pressure control, increase honing efficiency. It also enables adjustment during honing. Hon 2A is therefore a rather easy-to-use honing machine.
Electric hoist & drive unit
HON 2A has an electric hoist and drive unit with synchronized movement from the controller. Moreover, an intelligent turning point algorithm ensures that no edge is generated at the turning point during the honing process.
Lubrication system
The electric lubrication system is operated by the handheld controller. As a result, the machine is easy and intuitive to operate.
Honing stones & honing liquid
We recommend the use of original Chris-Marine honing stones for optimal grinding results.
In addition, we recommend our efficient honing liquid concentrate for optimal lubrication during the honing process.
Surface Roughness Measurement (optional)
Moreover, use Chris-Marine’s device SRM to verify that liner surface roughness is in accordance with engine maker’s specifications.
