Fully automatic cylinder liner honing machine for restoration of 2-stroke cylinder liner geometry and surface structure.
HON 2A efficiently rectifies the shape of the liner, removes scuffing and restores surface cross pattern. The machine is very easy to operate as it is fully automatic and electrically driven. In addition, it is preassembled, which means that setup-time is significantly reduced.
Our honing machine, HON 2A, is a fully automatic cylinder liner honing machine for on-site honing of large 2-stroke cylinder liners. The machine is easily operated directly on the engine. With optional holding equipment, the honing machine can be used directly on liners, outside the engine. Honing rectifies the shape of the liner, removes scuffing and restores surface cross pattern.
HON 2A has an easy-to-use handheld controller for all functions and settings to facilitate honing. The synchronized electric hoist and drive
unit combined with automatic stone pressure control increases honing efficiency and enables adjustment during honing.
HON 2A has an electric hoist and drive unit with synchronized movement from the controller. An intelligent turning point algorithm ensures that no edge is generated at the turning point during the honing process.
The electric lubrication system is operated by the handheld controller.
We recommend the use of original Chris-Marine honing stones for optimal grinding results.
For optimal lubrication during the honing process we recommend our efficient honing liquid concentrate.
Use Chris-Marine’s device SRM to verify that liner surface roughness is in accordance with engine maker’s specifications.

Honing time and stone consumption increase with cylinder diameter and stroke length. It is therefore important to choose the right honing stones. Diamond stones have superior endurance and remove material faster than ceramic stones.
Honing liquid that prevents residues from clogging the honing stones and ensures an efficient honing process.
The unistress piston ring expander makes sure that is is safe and easy to change piston rings.
